Aren't these photos adorable? If you have a fall session scheduled with me, do not forget the hats! Hats can really add to photos especially those young ones!

And how's your day ?!

A big thank you to my sister and mother for spending part of their Saturday to work in my classroom. The science center is almost completed! We have some great ideas and I cannot wait for the kids to utilize the center next week.

I have some really wonderful news I would like to share with everyone. (no, I am not pregnant.) I applied for membership in an acceptance only professional photography group. Okay, I just filled out my application and my info/ website and submitted it. I did not have my hopes set too high as I know they are selective and stated on the application that if you are denied you have to wait 60 days to reapply and don't be discouraged because most people do not get in the first try. Well, I did! I got my congratulations two days ago. I guess in our own way we all need to be validated occasionally. Anyway it felt good and I wanted to share!

I am behind in editing. I have a one year old I shot (too adorable) and a wonderful family, and some individual football players. I am waiting on my newest upgrade to photoshop (my third upgrade in a year) so I can try some new tricks. Anyway, I can't wait to post and share.

Back again slowly but surely!

Most of you know I was sick and exhausted the beginning of September. I took some time off and my doctor has told me I could resume my schedule if I take it slow. I am only booking in seven day increments and I am just about booked for the holidays. First choices went to those people who I was not able to do in September. As I hear back from them I will know what dates are available.

I have the coolest Christmas cards around! I am proud to offer eight new cards ~ they are stunning! I will present examples and pricing within the next couple of weeks. I am very excited! (Can you tell?) This feeling comes close to the Science center I am creating for my classroom...(well almost!)

For your information~ my sitting fees are now $ 65.00 which includes a family of five. Please allow for add ons for more people and a distance which exceeds ten miles.

Beautiful family

This family has been very patient! I took their photos two weeks ago and shortly after got very sick. Anyway, I am feeling better and here is a sneak preview of the beautiful family!
Dang these are good ~ but who gets the credit? The beautiful family or the oh so talented photog! I know, I know ~ they do...darnit!

it's late!

I just finished my TWU homework ~ it was alot! I have not updated my blog and I know several of you are waiting for sneak previews. I had strep throat this weekend and it really slowed me down. I had too much to do to take the down time I needed so I apologize that I am behind.

Here is our church band the Morning Song. They are doing a FREE concert November 1st in our new church building on Old Denton Road. They are wonderful and so entertaining. I for one will be there and hope you will too! I hear it won't even be church music although I love when they sing that as well. Here are some of the photos they got to choose from for their advertising.

Teaching!

I am now into my second week of teaching. It is so much fun! The kids are great and I am working on my classsroom mangagement skills. Every day I see an improvement. We are learning and doing so much!

Calls are coming in for the fall. I am so honored. I absolutely am so crazy for photography ~ however, I do think I have found more balance in my life. I love being home on the weekends because I am not flying anymore for Delta, I love doing my once a week photo shoots, and my family is thrilled I am not sitting on the computer in my pajamas all day editing photos but rather getting dressed and going to work. The best part is I am home to meet the bus each day.

Now the downside! My two classes at Texas Woman's are very consuming! I love what I am learning but I just do not feel I have that much time in the day to get it all done! A little stressful but I just keep telling myself it is this semester and then one more class and finally my Masters. I sometimes cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel. I know it is there but it can be dim.

Okay, I know a couple of you keep checking for sneak previews. I shot a church band and a new baby session. I am excited to begin editing them. They were fun shoots!
